EHRI-AT – Das nationale Konsortium

The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure (EHRI) evolved from a series of projects to become a permanent international organisation: EHRI-ERIC (European Research Infrastructure Consortium). EHRI is dedicated to transnational Holocaust research, remembrance and education. One of the greatest challenges in this field is the wide dispersion of sources and expertise across many institutions. EHRI addresses this issue by connecting sources, institutions and people. The EHRI portal provides online access to information about Holocaust-related sources worldwide. The Conny Kristel Fellowship gives researchers access to the resources of twenty of the world’s leading Holocaust archives. Through its extensive networking and training programme, EHRI brings together individuals who act as multipliers, sharing and disseminating this collective knowledge. In addition, EHRI promotes innovative tools for the digital transformation of Holocaust research. EHRI-AT – The National Consortium The European Holocaust Research Infrastructure Consortium (EHRI-ERIC) is a European infrastructure that supports Holocaust research, remembrance and education on a transnational level. EHRI-AT is the national consortium representing the Republic of Austria within this international research network. The VWI serves as the national coordinator of EHRI-AT. EHRI-AT ensures the long-term sustainability of Holocaust research infrastructure in Austria and beyond. The consortium represents Austrian institutions working in the fields of Holocaust documentation, remembrance and research. EHRI-AT promotes the exchange of expertise on digital developments and connects resources via a shared digital infrastructure. In addition, the consortium is dedicated to disseminating and implementing innovative research tools in Holocaust studies and higher education.

EHRI-AT provides researchers, archivists and cultural heritage professionals with transnational access and training opportunities.
