EHRI-1

The main objective of EHRI-1 was to connect the European Holocaust research community and provide users with transnational access to relevant research infrastructures through the development of innovative methods and research guides. In Phase 1, the first step was to create a virtual research environment that would enable online access to documents scattered across different archives. Within Work Package 2 of the project, the VWI – together with the Jewish Museum in Prague, the Terezín Research Centre, Yad Vashem and the Budapest Holocaust Memorial Center, and in close cooperation with the archive of the Jewish Community of Vienna (IKG) – developed a research guide for Holocaust-related archives of Jewish communities in Eastern and Central Europe, and created infrastructural and network-related tools for archival resources.
